Moving Beyond Losses
Personal Best Practices
Misuse of gambling and substances such as alcohol and drugs have financial costs which compete with creating and sustaining financial security.
We can move beyond the losses we have experienced from gambling and substance use disorder and create a secure financial future when we:
- Become aware of what we do that creates our problems.
- Let go of the things we do that keep us stuck in our problems.
- Consciously own how we manage ourselves in relation to the way we use money.
- Grow how we own and manage our personal creative capacity which can allows us to grow the financial assets we own.
We can move beyond financial losses when we own our individual part with right balance rather than dominate others or depend on others when meeting our life needs.
WE

ism (I/self/me) others
As an individual, I have the power to control my thoughts, my feelings, my words, and my actions to own my part to meet my personal needs .
I have the power to influence other people, places and things including money by the quality of the way I connect with them to meet common needs.
If relationships are out of balance, we can explore what needs changing. We can take a look to see where we might be too demanding or too dependent. Where am I being too dominant or demanding in my relationship with others (>)? Where I am being too dependent or expecting others to take care of things that are mine to do (<)? Am I connecting within myself and connecting with others in right balance (=)?
We can keep our lives moving forward in good orderly direction when we own our part in filling our personal needs and cooperate with others when filling common needs.
